Clearcoat scratches.....Ugh!
Hello everyone....
I have some small, less than 1/4 inch long, very shallow clearcoat scratches. Can you cover the scratches using touch up clearcoat to minimize their appearance? My car is a solid color.....Summit White. Thanks. |

If it's only shallow and in the clear coat, you can correct it with compound and polish. I wouldn't bother with touch-up clear .

I would go with this first. I do keep a little bottle of clear touch up but have only used it as a top coat after applying base color touch up first.

Okay, thanks. I'll try polishing them out.

If your finger nail doesn't catch in the scratch it should come out.
