To answer the original question, the fact that it's so livable for such a ridiculous amount of car. I grew up lusting after Chevelles and wanted a 454 SS like it would save my life. Now to have a car with this much power that is this reliable and gets this kind of fuel economy wrapped up in these retro-but-modern aesthetics? We're living in a golden age.

The best part: After 10 years my stock early '10 SS still gets compliments almost
every time I take it out.

Same here. I was leaving a restaurant last week, and the old guy next to me asked if it was one of the new ones, and did they all sound like this.

That I sold it and got a 6th gen.

Naww..seriously my 5th gen was a great car. Loved it. I like the 6th gen better though but can't take nutt'n away from the 5th.

When Transformers came out I told my wife I'de have one of those someday. She scoffed. Today I have it in RedHot 600+rwhp. She hates riding in it.LOL!

I love the cold starts. The sound of the starter, then the way the LS3 barks to life with the NPP, how the rpms settle down after a few seconds. Puts a smile on my face every time.
