So a guy who can't adjust his seat, is using an unfinished movie car, has just done 500 miles in a car he loves no matter what the flaws, and will not list any times for the firebreather, nor show a straight up drag between the two is supposed to be taken seriously on a review?????

Ironically one of the reasons I didn't buy a mustang is because my 6' 3" ass fit better in the camaro and yes I do have a sun roof!!

And this is a CAMARO FORUM, so yes we are going to comment on bad reviews.

read every review on the camaro, the same exact complains on all of them.
don't worry the camaro can be flawless in your world.

i dont see what the problem is here, he's comparing a unfinished movie propcar
to a real car you can buy right now. of course the car isn't going to feel better.

Quick question.....how does a manual transmission rev match. Oh yeah it doesn't unless you give it some gas yourself so really he was doing his own rev matching.

I just had to quote this because it is so true.

As far as I can tell all he complained about was his head touching the roof with his seat all the way down (a pretty common complaint even on this board) and the steering wheel. Is that reason enough to hate the guy and accuse him of being "paid off" by Ford. He even admitted that is was an Incomplete movie car and that he had to forgive some of the flaws because of it. I think he was pretty fair on all points even tho some of his info was wrong.

Seriously if a reviewer isn't absolutely worshipping and giving anything but total praise to the Camaro some of you just have a fit. This was not a bad review at all.

I just wanted to clarify a couple things.

The car that was tested is an incomplete FireBreather, not an incomplete car. What that means is that we didn't wrap the center console (between armrest and gear shifter) in leather, it is simply the same plastic that came with the camaro. So his complaints are not because the car is incomplete, its because he doesn't like certain aspects of the camaro's interior.

Also 'Jinn' will be in theaters 1st quarter of 2011, we have not begun the marketing campaign for the movie yet, look to start seeing things around October

I can tell you the FireBreather was significantly faster than the mustang on the highway...

So . . . . . . I guess that settles it. Camaro-1 Mustang-0

Seriously though, and not trying to bash the Firebreather at all. I love the body work, the front end just looks plain dangerous. All of Matt's review was straight opinion and qualitative facts. I personally have this rule where I don't let other people's opinions affect the choices I make. It's a pretty solid rule actually. When push comes to shove each driver will either be a camaro driver or a mustang driver and I can predict it now that this thread is going to turn into another "my camaro's better than your mustang" thread. Actually, I do not care for the Firebreather look. If GM ever brings back the TA, I hope they use an earlier rendention found on this site back in 2009. Can't find it right now but that was bada$$ right there. The Firebreather in the video looks so cheezy. It looks like someone took a Camaro and ripped the front fascia off and slapped some aftermarket POS fascia on there. A real hack-job in my opinon. It looks hideous to the point where I think it will reflect on the Camaro/GM in a negative way. Too bad. Also, as much as I love my Camaro, I must admit that the GT500 in that video had the best sounding exhaust by a long shot. I mean it was no contest. Disappointed in the Firebreather. If I was a perspective buyer of the Camaro and saw this video, it would make me consider the Mustang without hesitation. That's how bad this was for me. Sorry. JMO.

EDIT: Think I found the earlier rendition or something close. They should have tried to stick closer to this in my opinion and put a much sicker exhaust on it with LTs or something to open it up so you can at least hear the thing. The exhaust was way too docile in the video. I would bet good money that the dubbing in the movie will be much, much more aggressive.

^^^
that TA is pretty sexy too.

Also, I checked out the Firebreather website and the specifications page is pretty intense. I mean mostly the car just got a ton of body work done on her, but the interior is trimmed in, and I kid you not, "Piano Black" and with red ABL. The car's posessed I'm telling you.
