I think you should already be running 10's. Get more seat time.

If you have 600rwhp on a mustang dyno you should be running somewhere around 10.80's now in a M6 if you can drive it.

What suspension parts do you have? The power you have right now should easily put a 5th gen in the 10's in a 0 DA condition. It's just putting the power down, not breaking anything and driving that needs to be addressed.

That was with nitto 555rs. Have weld rts now with 325 m&h and an rxt clutch. Im just trying to b ready come spring when the track opens. I have bmr trailing arms and bushings installed, and subframe bushings, toe rods not on yet.

As others have pointed out, your car itself has enough power to hit 10's as is. You just need some race time under your belt. Keep upgrading suspension parts to make sure it can handle you learning to launch. Be patient, it takes time and repetition to learn how to slip your clutch effectively. Talk to guys with M6's that have good 60ft times and watch videos of their techniques! Soon you will get better, your 60ft will drop lower and your ET will improve.
Good luck!

what is needed to run 10's with a M6?

Im at 600rwhp and can't get my car into 3rd where my Trans is about toast. Best pass to date has been 11.40 @ 126 on 20" street tires.

If I can get my 60' and shifting consistent (aka not missing 3rd) I'd be high 10's now.

I'm adding wheels/DR's this year and likely a 5pt bar so I don't get banned from the track.

Rear cradle bushings, 3.91's, Trutrac, lower control arms/toe rods and Gforce outlaw 1500 axles on 20" Pzeros and I've cut a 1.62 60'. I would love to have seen what the pass would have looked like clean. Have I mentioned I hate this transmission?

Yup, ZL1 kit is the bomb. But my 1LE is noticeably slower with 3.73s and the extra weight.

So your cousin is building a track only TT car? Does he have a build thread? AGP drag Times are hard to come by. My TT 1LE recently broke the 600 RWHP mark but I have only had a few runs before the weather closed in. I did run 11.6@125+ with a 2.0 60'. I think with the power delivery of the TT setup I can only possibly get to low 11s with a decent 60'. Still learning how to launch with a 2 disc clutch. It engages sooner so my 60's have tanked. I need more practice.

I am told I need a 2 step, but I am not interested in going there. The 2 step is the ticket for us M6 cars. You can also get no lift shfting too.

Thanks PSJ. Always like lending a hand.

I can run high 10's all days with the following mods. And only these mods.

-twin turbo setup making about 600 - 650whp
-DSS1400hp axles
-McCloud RXT twin disk clutch
-and 18" drag radials or 17" slicks (a little easier to launch)

It's all about the launch and riding the clutch out. I launch at 5000rpm and gradually release the clutch. Nets me 1.6xs all day as I don't want to be to aggressive due to stock drive train. 2 steps are over rated IMO. Just practice

Here is a video of a 10.9 pass at low boost from earlier this year. Just takes practice

This is my second set with them. When I pulled the motor last year I had em rebuild it for good measure. Great customer service and very easy to work with.
