That's like saying you prefer a 2007 GT500 to a 2006 LS2 GTO.

Another example of a blown ford and n/a gm product that are about the same speed in a straight line, but the gm product costing way less.....

I'm 28, bought my '99 GT in 2004.

Sure it is slower than LS1s, and takes a lot of unnatural aspiration to compete with a lightly modded FBody, but that doesn't make it garbage.

I always wanted a Mustang. My parents had an 85 when I was a baby, my dad bought a '72 when I was a junior, and the 260 hp in the '99 made for a fun to drive, relatively quick first 5sp car.

I've gone 13.6 with tires, gears, and partial exhaust.

LS1 fast? No.
Quick fun driver? Yes.

About the same in a straight line? 5mph trap difference and a half second is not about the same.

both stock doesn't the gt500 have a S/C that kinda takes away from stock lol but i guess stock from dealer

off some ones topic but i know there is some dodge owners on this thread… just asking a question why is the new srt8 charger 6.4 so slow…

i drove one and it felt slow i thought maybe it was just cause it was so quiet

but then my cousin raced one and beat it by car lenghts and i beat my cousins gto in my camaro by car lengths….

just wanna know... i thought they were 12.8 second cars

It's supercharged from the factory, and it's not a dealer installed option, hence why it's called stock.

From 20-90 my friends ls2 auto gto with catback is dead even with my stock g35.

I know it's taking away from previous statement, just based on experience LOL.

Theyre pretty slow..... He's not even within a bus of my Camaro ls1(intake/gears/tune/cutout runs mid 12's on the all seasons @ 110ish.... hoping to do 11.9 on stock y pipe/manifolds/catback with the addition of a stall and slicks/skinnies; hold the record for a stock g35 so may break a few records, probably been done before).

I think with those mods, with a lot of VHT, and some weight reduction, you might be able to get that time. Might also have to do some suspension mods.

ZR1s, ZL1s, Cobalt SS' of both varieties, some BMWs, a few Audis, and the GTR also take away from stock kinda lol sort of haha not stock funny lol haha, but yea for realz lol I guess stock from dealer lol

It's an automatic, and my Camaro was the same speed as my g35 before I did anything to it when it had 2.73's.

So to be honest, makes sense to me.
