AT the stop light
My days are usually boring Red, Yellow, Green over and over again. Me being the Main Street light I have more traffic than Fred the 7th Street light, so I stay on longer. Ya him and Standley are a little jealous since they are red more than green. Sorry I digress.
So they we where doing business as usual. Then all of sudden we heard a rumble. Then out of the darkness stalks a new Camaro. OOHH it was sweet Silver Ice Metallic with nice stripe package. The silver color caught the street light and made it glimmer even more. She was a sight to behold. It smoothly rolled up to me taking its place in line behind one of those fugly Smart car and a Fit. I could see the little cars tremble when the big v8 stopped behind them. The scene reminded me of a great cat playing with its food before the kill. Then all of a sudden a car flew up from behind spoiling the whole scene. It was one of those uppity Mustangs. It rolled up to the Camaro and revved its puny engine. In true style the Camaro waited. The mustang revved again and again. The Camaro did nothing. I knew by my timer I was getting ready to give the green light. If there is anything us stop lights love is a good drag race. Just seconds to go then all of a sudden WWWWWOOOOOMMMM WWWWOOOOMMMMM the Camaro came to life. From across the street Standley the south 7th light started laughing....The Smart car and the Fit had water coming from their tail pipe. HHAAAHHAAA they just pee'd themselves he giggled. The cars rolled off without the drag race...then I noticed where the Mustang sat..there was a large puddle too. Some days its good to be a stop light.
