If I remember correctly, to remove the lower cushions you need to push the front of the bottom cushion back and then lift up. There is a "C-bracket" or hook type bracket that a metal rod (part of the seat frame itself) fits. Pushing the seat cushion back forces the metal rod out of the bracket and then lifting up clears the C-bracket attached to the floor.

Next, there are two bolts that have to be removed so that you can remove the back of the seat. Remove the bolts and then push the seat-back toward the trunk and lift up. There are a few hooks in the sheet metal that the seat-back slides down in that secures the seat-back to the sheet metal. The two bolts are there so that the seat does not accidentally dislodge.

To remove the seat bottoms you must push the bottom towards the back of the car and then lift up. They hook into a bracket that is welded to the floorpan. Sometimes you have to apply a good bit of pressure backwards. The back part of the seat at the bottom remove the two bolts at the bottom and lift it off the hooks. Hope this helps. Good Luck

I'm 17 and once I get a job I'm going to go Camaro hunting. My mom has a '78 Z28 that I work on.

If you are up to joining another forum, I'd recommend NastyZ28. (second generation Camaro forum).

Yep, there's a few members with a 1st gen or 3rd gen, all are welcome pretty much.

If you need help with anything, feel free to PM me.
