Handling Help

Hey guys, I am not even sure where to begin with all this stuff.

I'm looking to kill the body roll in the car. I see that the most popular things to do are drop springs and sway bars.

Here is the problem, I don't want to do drop springs. I don't mind the stock "gap" and I don't want to mess up the ride/change out the shocks prematurely to accommodate the drop springs. So, my question is, will some adjustable sway bars cure a lot of that body roll? Do I need to look at specific bushings also? I'm not sure what to do here. Brands?

I welcome any and all advice! Thanks in advance guys.

Absolutely. There are a lot of good companies making sway bar sets. That said, increased spring rates and lower ride height also help with roll centers and resistance. Lots of good sales going on now into the holidays as well! If you get the time, feel free to give our site a look.

Sway bars will take care of the majority of body roll in corners, but they won't do anything for Brake dive and squat on launch; Increased spring rates will definitely help out in these areas.

If you are not lookign to lower, but what the handling benefits, then a set of coilovers would likely best suit your needs. The LG coilovers are a sweet deal right now If your not worried about having damping adjustability.

If you're lookign for something better, look into the RideTech coilovers. They are a great setup with a 1,000,001 mile warranty.

As for bushings, the Cradle/subframe, upper control arm bushings, trailing arms with outer bushings and toe links are the main problem areas. BMR and Spohn are both doing BF deals.

Feel free to call, PM or email me if you have any questions or would like any recommendations.

Best regards,

Tyler

Well, the ants in my pants got to me. I ordered the BMR sway kit from JDP. I want to see how much of an improvement it makes and go from there, where I feel it still isn't quite right.

Talked with Tyler today and he got me all setup. Upping my FE3 to the FE4 setup with BMR bars! Super stoked! Tyler is awesome to deal with.
100% recommend Tyler and JDP Motorsports.

I picked up a used Hotchkiss Chassis brace on here for a steal...
Not as good as upgrading the bushings, but very easy to install and makes a significant and noticeable improvement

Thanks for the order and kind words, Blake. I'm glad I could get a hold of you and change over the order to get you setup with the right parts the first time. You are going to be very happy with this upgrade.

Let me know if you have any questions and I'll be happy to assist!

Best regards,

Tyler

I've noted that - I wanted to do the sway stuff first to get a baseline and then add stuff on slowly from there!

I did the Chassis brace first, made a noticeable improvement particularly with launching. There was simply less flex when the tires were spinning.

The sways made an amazing improvement in steering response
