PCV catch can port used by vacuum block
My PCV is currently direct to my vacuum block, which goes to waste gates and BOV setup from Huron speeding turbo kit. The valley port is plugged. How can I install the 12AN Mighty Mouse wild 1200hp catch can? It goes from pcv to the oils cap adapter. Very confused why this model goes up to the oil cap and doesn’t allow outlet to the vacuum block.
1) Should I install the catch can (the pcv to oil cap), and draw vacuum from the valley port, or another location on the manifold? If so, where from exactly, I know there are check valves all over the place in these systems. 2) Why does it outlet to the oil cap? I am also 630hp with stock internals. Adding the catch can for future proofing. Probably doing port injection e85 and forged internals in the next year. |

I don't see how your system is evacuating crankcase gases this way. You have the intake vacuum source plumbed to the vacuum block. Two taps on the vacuum block appear to go to the brake booster and somewhere else.
The red plugged thing in the valley is the PCV valve. Crankcase gases typically get pulled up through that into the intake. This is the evacuation route. The inlet for this system goes through the oil separator. A single tube runs from the air intake fitting (after the MAF, but before the throttle body) to the center fitting on the oil separator. There are left and right tubes that go from the top of the oil separator to the tops of the left and right valve covers. This vents both valve covers. |

My first thought is just go gas cap to vacuum block but I’m not 100%

The catch can is typically installed between the PCV valve and the intake vacuum port as shown in the 4th photo in this post:
https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showp...4&postcount=18 You could run a line from your currently plugged PCV valve in the valley to the catch can. Then catch can to your vacuum block. This will run blowby vapors through the vacuum block. Or you could tee into the line going from vacuum port to the vacuum block, which might keep the vacuum block internals cleaner. With your PCV valve currently plugged you are not evacuating the crankcase. |

The Mighty Mouse wild 1200ho setup inlet is the oil cap, so we’re not speaking the same language right now. The outlet is the intake vacuum port. They plug the PCV.

You’re correct I think about the gases not getting pulled. Haven’t had issues until this latest oil change and adding it on there. Oil has residue and smells like gasoline

About 3k miles without one, installing after an engine flush from pepboys wednesday… best thing I can probably do at this point. Really surprised my tuner didn’t say it was mandatory to get, he just said it would help keep the engine clean… I finally am getting to it after about 4 months.
