I've heard people claim that light weight wheels will net higher dyno numbers but I've never seen proof.
I will say rotational mass will help with acceleration. I noticed a difference when I went to 2 piece rotors and I assume lighter wheels and a driveshaft would net similar results. It would improve track times 1/4 and lap times but I honestly don't know if it would show on a dyno I can logic both scenarios. I gotta figure what Hammdo said went down at GPI is gospel though. Not to be a SA; but why would you go with an aluminum DS over a carbon fiber one? They are stronger then the steel or alum, far less vibration and from a safety aspect the carbon fiber would be 400 times better. If you have ever seen a steel or alum DS shred apart it takes parts of the car and whatever body part is closer with it.

Well guys, I didn't go for the G-Force one since they have a 10 week lead time, so I went with the DSS one and got it in 5 days from Phastek!!! Nice looking piece of equipment, now just have to get it installed and see how she works..

Well as Squawk first said, here ya go, my opinion..
Well guys finally back after the Christmas break and out of 10 days off we had 8 days of rain where I am at !! Damn, we are over our norm by 6 inches for December! But none the less I got my Bad Nasty Ruby out to test out the new DS aluminum DS, and all I have to say is 3 words,,HOLY CRAP AND WOW !! Man what a difference this thing makes the car drive. Smooth, very quick, off the line and during acceleration while driving. She gets up to speed a lot quicker, and with absolutely NO vibrations at all !! Used to try to seem like it was going to shake the car apart after 85 mph, now all the way up to 147 and nothing!! Smooth as silk! I like that. When you put the car in gear it is solid, no play like I had before from the rubber couplers at each end, just fricken solid ! Now I wished I could have made it to the track to get some "before" runs to compare because I swear this car seems like a half second or so quicker getting up to speed and off the line, if I get traction. Chris I think if you did this mod to your Camaro without any more engine work after the TH400 install, I really think you would get your 10, it just seems that much quicker by my butt dyno !! Also Whammo in your auto crossing I truly believe that it would also increase your lap times because in decel and acceleration tests I did it allows very quick recovery of the RPM's you lose when coming off a corner or turn. It is amazing for sure! I am so glad I did this mod. I tried some different burn out scenarios and wow, just bad ass. Dead stop in first gear, romp on it and hit 7k redline almost instantly, never did that before, shifted to second and it recovered so quickly it hit 7k again, hit 3rd and well just had to let off to hook up, and those big 335's just don't hook anymore. Tried a second gear dead stop, romp on it and again almost instant 7k, damn man! It spools up that quickly. Driving down the road at 45-50 in 4th gear, drop it down to 2nd and romp on it, used to just squat down and just take off, now it lites em up and grab 3rd and hang on sideways, can't do that anymore. But all in all this is one MUST do mods that will help our cars be quicker off the line if you have stickies on the back, and also make the car quicker on the track too. Driving around town normal is sooo much smoother and quitter than it was with the stock DS in there. Glad I did it. Hope this helps you guys out...

You're gonna love it for sure !! The quickness of the revs is the first thing I noticed with mine! And I haven't done a gear swap yet... lol. But it feels like I did...
