Same as the engine controller, except for the body and electronics.

It's too bad that the only way to find this stuff out is through Trent's generous sharing of his private messages.

Not sure I understand your point. We have the dealers who are supposed to be able to tell you what status code your car is at. Why do you expect GM to provide any more then that?

I can get updates when I buy a $2 phone charger from Amazon.

If they had to hold on to it for a few days to make sure it worked, I would get an email....or I would find this out by calling the seller.


a $35,000 car..... no updates?

Thanks Trent....GREAT post... and as I read more and more from Scott... him and I use the "." WAY too much lol

but again, and not to start a fight Bell.... the communication is abundant... the most likely reason this convo didnt happen on THIS board is because some very angry people have stressed some of our insiders out soooo much they have chosen not to post here anymore.

Amazon functions differently They are the retailer not the manufacturer.... they dont have retail outlets...

These again are updates that should come from the dealer NOT the manufacturer.... (well exactly like amazon, they dont make it, just sell it)

What about the people that do not read the threads. GM has our email addresses. I just want a one-liner every now and then to give me the status of my car. Bad news, in this case, is better than no news.

Mine is at 4B00 - Bayed. That is all my dealer knows. He says I should expect delivery on the week of April 20th.... I think he is wrong.

The only way I knew that the Camaros are being delayed due to a quality hold was on this thread... He does not know this.

I want GM to tell me this info. I want GM to tell everyone that has ordered a 2010 Camaro this info. I want GM to AT LEAST tell my dealer this info. Particularly for those that have that put their money down on this car on the morning of October 13 of last year.

Too much to ask, I think not.
