Thank you for the video. I had never seen a 1969 ZL1 before.

What I would give to own a piece of history like that. Very nice, thanks for posting.

Thumbs up

About a month after I got back from Vietnam a buddy of mine had a older brother who was GM at Nankleville Chevrolet in Indy and they had one. We got to drive it with him. I tried to figure how to buy it but at $7000, no money and no job. It was silver and a stripped down beauty.

I guess I was lucky just to be there and experience it. Wish I was 23 again, maybe

Our good friend Charley Lillard is one of the organizers - and he worked very hard to get all of those ZL1s together -- a true "Historic Event" in Camaro history. When he called to ask if we'd bring a new ZL1 - there was no question that we had to get one there!

I strongly urge ANY Performance Car enthusiast to go to this show next year - I have NEVER seen so many one-off and rare cars in all my years.

Mark it on your calendar for next year!

I truely would have fallen over if I had walked into that car show and saw 17 69 ZL1's without prior knowledge of the assembly. Wow.
