Here you go...
http://content.usatoday.com/communit...1#.UWYFrVVOkuo Feel free to use Google for more. Last time I try to help out on these forums. Not that I take the ribbing seriously, just that I find it borderline retarded that rather than just taking a couple minutes of ones time to easily try something new you guys find it easier to clay and buff all the way down to the clear coat. Possibly further. Easily risking doing serious damage to your paint. Just because "its normal" I'm obviously wasting my time. |

After spending 6+ hours detailing a friends car, we got bombed like there was no tomorrow when we stopped by for lunch :( [Fortunately the fresh coat of wax made removal easy] @OP:Polishing is your last resort :(

Glad you got it taken care of. You can usually remove most bird bomb etchings with a compound and hand polishing if you tend to them within a few days.

Gonna try the mayo trick. I've got a lot of tar splatters on the outside of my fender wells. Will the mayo remove existing wax?

I'm glad to hear that you got it out. I am dealing with the same thing on my wifes Mazda. I was told a long time ago that for preventing the bird doing this in the first place there is a sure fire trick. I haven't tried this myself but the say if you put a rubber snake on the dash that it will actually keep the birds away. I plan on trying this because I just washed her car, which is brilliant black, and there must have been at least 5 different piles that have left marks. I plan on trying the clay but if that doesn't work I'll try the mayo trick.
