Fuse and Relay Center issue

I'm having an issue with my '19 ZL1 1LE and I'd appreciate any input.

At about 900 miles, it started badly misfiring. It would barely run and I was lucky it made it to the dealership. The car would die at idle and had no acceleration; it ran very rough.

After about a week evaluating it, the dealer told me the "Fuse and Relay Center" (part #84572691) required replacement under warranty. Apparently this issue was causing the car to run on half of the cylinders, but they had no explanation why this occurred.

FWIW, the tech comments state "ubec internal connection failure" & "found codes on current p135B 00 bank 2 ignition coil voltage supply".

It ran fine for about a month, and the issue arose again yesterday. I am bringing it back into the dealer tomorrow.

Has anyone heard of such an issue and have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

Mike

There may be an issue with ignition wires, coil packs, and or bad gas.

Could be a problem with one of he three fuel pumps: low, sump and/or high.

There may be a battery grounding issue.

Thank you for your thoughts! I'm leaning towards the ignition wires....

Thanks for the support, Mike. They’ve had it a week and provided very little update; only that they are spending time checking wiring to see what’s wrong.

The weather is finally getting nice.... I want my ZLE!

Dealer just called and said they found a bad port terminal on the part they replaced last time and the car should be ready tomorrow.

I sure hope it’s fixed now! Not sure why it took a week to figure that out, though...

Got the car back today. They said there was a bad connection (#29) on the fuze box they replaced last time.

I think this connection was the problem all along and that the fuse box didn't need to be replaced. Otherwise, why did I have the exact same problem both times.

Either way, I suspect this problem is fixed and behind me.
