How far have you pushed the stock ls3 sleeves?

I rebuilt my engine 6 months ago, what started as removing a foreign object in the intake, turned into a cam swap.. and while I was in there I might as well gap the rings... and seeing as I'm gapping the rings I might as well do forged pistons and rods and new bearings..

Well im kicking myself for not sleeving the block (because I'm cheap AF)..

so my question is this " how far have you sustainably pushed your stock sleeves (sbe or forged).. I figured 850 wheel was my cutoff but I'm hoping 400 of you tell me 1000+ hp lol.

personally the most power I've ever recorded was 913whp, but I know it made 2 psi more on the street (20.5#). That motor is still going in a road raced c6 today.

I see most builders regularly rate a forged ls3 with stock sleeves to 1100 with arp stuff. 1000 with the stock crank is not uncommon.

I know 3 guys locally with stock sleeves making from 830-1150whp, but I'm no expert on the topic.

sleeves are a con game in the LS world. The 4 bolt head fails long before anything else. I am mobbing an LS3 forged with cheap callie stuff, I make 1200 wheel and run 5's ion the 1/8th mile . Its all about maintenance , spot on tunes and good fuel.

Nah, stock crank.. it was a budget build and I know the stock crank can handle more than I was going to throw at it..

I did 806 on a sbe but we had a lifter fail. And after all the failures I saw started to really grow at 850 rwhp. So we already had 6 bolt heads i went to a Thompson dart 427 and not much difference in price
