Clean them like you would a BBQ grill. Get them nice and hot then take a small wire brush dipped in some water, the steam action should take that right off. And wear some gloves.

Seriously, white fluid is probably not from your car. As much room as there is under the hood I wouldn't be surprised if something made it's way up there. Wasn't there a guy in the UK or Germany that said he kept getting badgers eating away at his engine bay???

Clean it!? I'm still trying to figure out what it is! Maybe go for a good highway run in 3rd gear. That ought to burn most of it up.

Im like OMG WTF IS THAT!?!?!??!

So I get in closer....

Now Im like.. OK is one of hoses leaking?? Why does that look like bird $h*t!??

Im looking at this like HOW?!?! How the hell did I get bird crap all over my headers?!?! I dont drive with the hood open, and I havent had the hood open long enough for that to happen since I installed the Dynatechs/Vararam, and I know this wasnt there when I put in my 2nd VR unit!!

Then I look a little further down the pipes with a flashlight and see this.....

What a horrible death, charred by my Dynatechs!

Any tips on how to clean it off?

I wiped it using some water, got all the crap off but some of the bird wont come off...
By any chance were you dusting while the headers were still hot? I once had a polyester rag melt and stick to my headers. I would not use anything on them. Your headers are a version of a self cleaning oven. The stains will probably burn off after a few hours of running.

Negative, I was using those disposable blue shop towels. I have never used any kind of towel under the hood except for yesterday.
