Well I solved the problem. I pumped the fronts up to 35 PSI and put the rears from 25 to 15 and it solved the issue.

I am really stoked because 15PSI is right where I wanted to be with these Bias ply tires anway.

Firstly, thanks for this thread and the great info in it, hoping someone has just a little bit more for me though

2011 SS, 235/45/17s. Can this be done? Can anyone recommend the best way to do this? I only need to do burnouts, don't need to do any driving, racing, or really anything besides spinning. (Colored tire smoke baby gender reveal)

I see from the first post that rsi has the 17x9.5s, has any one run these that can say if LCAs or Calipers need to be swapped? I do have aftermarket pads, so no roller skates or anything.

Sorry for the partial threadjack, and Thanks in advance!

I've been out of the game for a while. In need of new back shoes for the camaro. Current worn out shoes are mickey et street ii 305 45r18 on z06 replicas. Quick background on the car - 658 to the wheels, 1.5 60 ft. with basic rear suspension mods.

So... I can't find these tires anywhere. I assume replaced by the mickey S/S series? The closest thing I see in the SS series is 305 40r18. But... it says for 10+ width wheel so I assume that's a no-go for the replicas. Anyone running a smaller SS on a similar wheel?

I see an ET street r, same size as my old et street ii's but the tread pattern worries me a bit. My car is a weekend driver, but I'd be scared to get caught in the rain with those things.

I occasionally track the car, but rarely. Can someone point me in the right direction? I would consider something beyond M/T if it's comparable performance. Not as worried about tread life.

Any advice appreciated.

Thx

--Way shorter than stock, so if you drive and race on them you will need to pull the ABS fuses.

--RS 17x9.5s fit with stock brakes. They make a 17x10.5 too.

Yes but you might need an aftermarket lower control arm to clear them.

John, thanks for your help earlier on, but I want to be sure that anyone else reading this thread is aware of my rookie wheel-buyer's mistake.

The RSI DarkStar 17x9.5 wheels have a 5x4.5" bolt pattern, which is not analogous to stock 20" wheels' 5x120mm on the 2011 5th gen SS.

I didn't check this, which is my own fault, so unfortunately, I'm going to have to return wheels and find another solution, or look into adapters.

Pro Stock John Help lol

John, I'm getting ready to order some new wheels/tires. I'm thinking the race star dark star wheels. My car is lowered 1.4" on bmr springs & I don't want to mess with aftermarket lower control arms. What do you think I can run for the front & rear. I was thinking 18 x 10.5 in the rear, for the tire I was thinking 305/40R 18 Mickey Thompson e/t street ss. I'm kinda stuck on what to run for the fronts I was thinking about doing 18 x 8.5 up front. What do you think ?
Thank you in advance

Looking at race stars, 18x10.5... question is what offset fits over the brembos??
They offer a 32 offset or a 60 offset.. do they both fit.. this is for the rear
Anyone got pics of both options??
Thanks y'all! Wanting to get these wheels mounted asap

Does anyone know the correct product number for a Weld S71 with black face in a 18x10 size? My rears were damaged recently and need to replace asap. This is for a 2010 SS Camaro. I am told they are on a nationwide backorder, but want to see if I can find them somewhere sitting on a shelf. I checked Weld's fitment guide for Chevrolet and have 71HB8100N71A, but not sure if correct.
