There's a handful of guys on here who have installed the flanges and none have had any problems. It is structurally sound as long as the flanges fit nicely and the welding is good. There's a procedure that I used when installing them to insure proper fitment. I'm building a new motor for my car so with the engine out I will take a couple of pictures and do a little write up if anyone is interested.

I used his flanges on my car as well. Work perfect and only take 30minutes to install as long as you have a welder. The only issue I ran into is when I went twin turbo the passenger side flange had to have the back portion cut off to clear some of the charge pipes.
