Who has the most power on stock tranny and driveline
As the title says
Who is putting down the most power with a stock Transmission and Driveline, and is it L99 or LS3

I dont know how much power its making but Fastlane's car went high 10's on the stock auto tranny and rear end. It does have a different torque convertor though if that counts. That car is a single turbo stock motor with a custom VVT cam.

There's a KB install that went 10.99 IN VEGAS. He's still running the stock auto and I think axles too.

I can say at least a few people have been able to snap half shafts in LS3's with only an intake exhaust and tune. So as you dump more power in it's gonna stress the stock units, but hey if they break it's just a good excuse to go out and buy stronger parts!

BMR broke an axle with some of their rear suspension upgrades and 550 rwhp.

Most likely, yes. I was just stating what BMR reported.

There are practical limits. If you feel you have the money to add the power, then you should ensure that you have enough in your budget to get the power to the ground without breaking stuff. It's your hard earned money - get the most out of it. |

Seems odd to me that people are busting axles with just an exhaust, intake, and tune. That's around 50hp extra which shouldn't be enough to hurt the stock parts. They don't put 400hp parts on the car. Everything on the car should be able to handle at least 500. If the MFG didn't have any margin for stress, they'd be paying tons in warranty claims for things randomly breaking because they weren't strong enough. Just my 2 cents.
