Yay 1911~ try swap out the stock magazine asap, the stock springs are notorious for jamming since they lose tension very easily
Mine had huge jamming problems until I got Wilson combat heavy duty magazines, $30 for a peace of mind

Mine:

Nice 1911!

As mentioned previously, get a better spring and you'll notice a nice difference. Mine came stock with a 14 or 16 lbs recoil spring and it would stovepipe once in a while; I went to a 18 lbs spring with a recoil buffer and you can feel the difference (it's a good difference) when firing and no jams.

I myself recently got an Eotech 512 for my Rock River Arms Elite Operator 2 for x-mas. It's sweet!

Doh! I just realized you were referring to the springs in the magazines not the recoil spring.

Can't beat the 1911. I have no experience with the Remington though. I have a Springfield WW2 Mil Spec that stays by the bed and a Sig SP2022 9mm for the Camaro.

ps2ren's pic of her 1911 just reminded me that I should really get off my butt and install the beavertail ambi-safety and the skeletonized hammer on my 1911. The standard hammer and ambi-safety lever bites me everytime I go the range! :(

My glock 21 will be returned to me soon! It was stolen two years ago and then recovered last year when it was used in a crime. They are done using it as evidence and I will have it back shortly.

Edit: My folks have it in their possession now, they say it is surprisingly in great shape, thank god i kept it spotless, cant wait to get it back and clean it and fire it again.

I lost my interest in going to the range after my glock got ganked and I sold my other guns because the glock was my favorite. I feel the rebirth of an old hobby coming on!
