Supercars start with GTRs
they go up to
Audi R8
Lamborghini Gallardo and up
Porsche 911 Turbo S
Ferrari F12, 458

Hypercars are those
Bugattis, Koeniggseg, Pagani etc.

Camaros, Corvettes, M3, M5, C63, E63 are not considered supercars.

I'm a new owner ,first Camaro & it's a ZL1 . It puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. I always thought I wanted a Vette & could have had one but after seeing & driving the ZL1,its the perfect car for me & my Supercar .

...honestly, for the life of me, I dont get anyone saying anything negative about this car....at all. Oh, the interior silver accents? Oh, the racing warranty is some kind of game to be played between owner and the dealership? A few of the latest whinnings. Shesh. Be damn lucky to have it right here and now, cause this is the badest Camaro ever my friends. Stop moaning. If you feel compelled to cry about it, sell it and save us the grief wading through the jibberish.

Felt like a supercar the other night when I was ripping through some twisties showing a friend how the car controls traction. Then we went over a bunch of hills with patches of fog here and there going 120. Then hit the brakes to avoid a deer. Next turned all the controls off and wagged the tail when we got on the highway. Hard to not call that a supercar.

All the debate about it is or isn't.

A super car would be like the Porsche 918 Spyder or a Bugatti Veyron or a Lamborghini Aventador, Corvette ZR1. It doesn't have to be absurdly fast as some of you have mentioned.

Camaro will never be a supercar because it is a Muslce car (pony car). I know this may disappoint some ZL1 owners but it is the truth. Yes the ZL1 is a great car but it is what it is.

Ask the guy that drives a super car, when he sees a ZL1 goes past him if he thinks it's a super car........... but seriously, I'm glad it's not in a supercar class, because if it was I'm sure I couldn't afford to own one..... So I would so no, it's not a supercar, but it beats a supercar.... hey there is a question... what do you call a car that can beat a super car?

ZL1 is a great camaro, I can't afford one in a full go nor can I afford a supercar.
I know of some 80's pickup trucks that can beat a ZL1... does that mean the pickup truck is better than a supercar? There are many factors that go into determining a supercar. ZL1 would be the super car of the camaros

An Ariel Atom! It's not speed that makes a Supercar for sure. The Ariel Atom, a gocart looking thing, is crazy fast. 0 to 60 in 2.9!!!!!! That's fast! They go for 30 to 60K unless you're really crazy and want the one with a monster V-8 in it. Only making a handful of those so is that a requirement to be a Supercar? Sells for something like 230K. And yes it is a street legal car/sort of thing.
