It's nice to know the part is inexpensive but the labor may not be. The problem
with replacing it is it"s only going to get cut again.
Inexpensive yes, however I can understand that may have happened for some, however I did not have this issue with my 2011 I owned new for 6 years before I sold it and purchased this 2010.

Are you suggesting he shouldn't fix it?

I wear out tires. Should I not replace them because I will only wear out the new ones?

I'm not saying that. I'm just electing not to replace mine. At least not until it get worse.

My weather stripping is wearing in the exact same spots as OP. Car is still under warranty. I was at the dealer for another warranty issue, and asked them if they would replace it.. they said no, lol.

Labor? A young kid could install this thing. It's just a matter of pulling off the old one and then pressing the new one on over the pinch weld channel. Jeez!

How do you know? Did you go to the flat rate manuel? Replace
yours already? Explain. Insults and talk is so cheap on line.

It seems to me the part pictured is the strip that attaches to the door panel. I think the OP is looking for the part that attaches to the chassis, not the door. That could be a single piece without any cuts.

Cost is 345.50 for the part not including tax which then totals to 366.23. I figured as much with the way the dealership charges for certain items. Anyhow is this the same part number for the weatherstrip you found on Ebay that you showed me?

The chassis? It would be nice if you guys knew what the hell you were talking
about. Rocker panel maybe?

No its not the weatherstrip that connects to the side skirts/rocker panel. That's an entirely different area. It's the weatherstrip that sits the furthest towards the interior of the vehicle ans it's all in one piece that is not cut. And of course - the dealership even stated it was the weatherstrip that connects to the chassis. So therefore... I know what I am referring to.
