Order Type

I remember seeing this in another thread: SRE for direct contact and SDC for RCC dealers.

Now I had a previous order through one dealership that had the Order Type as SRE. This order was eventually cancelled.

I ordered through another dealership and noticed Order Type SDC.

So looking at the above meanings for these two Types, I would assume that SRE is a sold order for a customer while SDC is a sold order for a dealer.

Is this correct and what are the implications for having SDC vice SRE, if any?

We are a direct contact dealer and sold orders are SRE. Stock orders are TRE. Demos are TDM (that was just for fun).

Not sure about RCC dealer stuff.

Ahhhh here is what I found regarding RCC dealers:

“Regional Consulting Center (RCC) dealers are very important to GM due to the volume that they contribute and the total number of customers they satisfy,” said Darwin Clark, vice president and general manager, Industry-Dealer Affairs. Collectively, these 1,899 dealers, based in smaller towns and rural communities, sold 213,488 vehicles in 2001."

"The board is continuing to work to ensure RCC dealer concerns about product availability are heard. It has also helped to ease training difficulties by strongly encouraging the use of Interactive Distance Learning (IDL) classes."

So it would be safe to assume that SRE is used by dealerships in larger areas while SDC (RCC) is used by ones in smaller communities.

All good!

Great info guys!!!

Made me think to go take another look at my order.....

Order Type: SDC-Sold RCC

so that's some confirmation on the small town dealers being "Regional Consulting Center (RCC)"
