COPO Camaro opportunity.

I just got an email from Curt Collins telling me I am eligible to buy one of the 69 COPO Camaros being built for 2015. Unfortunately, I may have to pass on this. I've had some business setbacks this winter and the funds just aren't there for me to do this. It is a non-transferable offer too.

That's unfortunate. Murphey's law says if you didn't have those setbacks, you would not have been picked for the COPO. Sorry to hear.

I'm confused... It appears that Richard Rawlins has purchased a LOT of COPO eligibility certificates. Are some transferable, while others are not?

You might consider giving Gas Monkey Garage a call, see if Rawlins knows how to make a non- transferable offer into a transferable one!

That's a thought. It does say in my email that it is non-transferable. Maybe that is just on the 2015's? Anyway I have to respond within 48 hours if I want it.

Well... I guess you're just SOL. Better luck next time.

You should buy it anyway an sell it, or get money from somebody who wants it and buy it for them! For a commission of course!

Yeah. I don't know why people request to get "in the pool" if they have no intention of taking advantage, should they get chosen.

because somewhere along the way, they realize 100K for a car they cant even drive on the street is better spent elsewhere

It is just a TV show. The certs are not transferable. Richard did purchase several rolling chassis, which anyone can do.

I had all intentions of getting one when I signed up. Unfortunately, life doesn't always go the way you planned it.
