2 of my 3 DASH ABL lights are in at my local dealer. I'll pick those up tomorrow but will hold off until the 3rd comes in. Then it's the dash ABL next!

Dash ABL completed - 10/11/09

Ok, you can see hot spots and dead spots also. Overall, I'm happy with it though as I keep the dash lights very low, so you can barely tell it's on anyway.

Lowered - 10/28/09

Got her lowered with Vogtland NA Inc, lowering springs. Install went well and she looks & feels great! These are the pre-production springs and the install and springs were free

I did a quick writeup on this in the vendor section.

She has the same wheels/tires on all 4 corners: P275/40ZR20 & 20 x 9's

My question, and perhaps I have overlooked something, but how does someone get the lights to wrap around the whole dash like you did?
There are multiple threads for this DIY - look for Dash ABL (Ambient Lighting). I went the light rod and 2 GM light connectors. The sockets are already there and they dim with the dash lights.

No, it won't fit the 4". Zoomers had to use a smaller one. The ABL brightness is controlled by the dash light control. Also, the placement of the DigiKey light rod makes a big difference. There's a white strip in the back that needs to be turned so it faces back so the maximum light shines out. You can play with that after the install. I keep my interior lights dim at night as the light bothers my eyes. It looks great and is barely noticeable.

Thanks!
Michael J.

Where did you get the dash ABL's and did you install them yourself?

Look under the DIY threads for Dash ABL. The full parts lists are there - DigiKey light tube and GM lights. Full instructions are there also. There's also a DIY to improve the door ABL I did that one also.

not hard...great instructions!
