Measured the Camaro manifold inlet again and got 75.5mm measuring side to side, and only 73.5mm top to bottom, so a ported inlet will be a big help.

Currently Jason says he's adding material to the lip at the entrance in order to smooth it out and basically make it narrower to match the 72mm throttle body. If you did the opposite and ported the lip away, it would become 79.5mm like the other LFX manifolds, then all Jason needs to fill is the chin cavity. And now its a perfect match for the 80mm throttle body.

DGM and VTsummit I'll message you both through the board here this weekend. And Jason, I'm emailing you now!

Per the forum vendor rules, I don't think I'm allowed to post price or web links in this posting but easy to find my website in my sig.

I am definitely interested in the overkill 80mm throttle body and the ported intake manifold from JacFab.

Since the adaptor plate has to be machined anyway, why don't you add a groove for an o-ring on the front, and skip the messy silicone?

It seems like existing air pipes will be too small in diameter to increase the flow from the filter, and there will also be a problem squeezing the end over the larger diameter TB without tearing a silicone hose like the CAI includes.

Maybe we also need a V6 MAF adaptor to use a V8 air pipe.

100% this, and send a copy to Jason@JacFab so he can port-match. Maybe even add a nitrous option!

I like the fact that you have a tune for 87 octane, and that it can upgraded to 91 later for no additional charges. All of the other tuners won't even touch 87. Saving half a buck per gallon by not having to pump premium is tempting. I can always upgrade later if I want more.

Your pricing is competitive compared to the cost of the other tunes when you also add in a tranny tune.

Plus my tuning offers datalogging and revisions, I'm not sure whether any of my competition currently allows scanning and revisions or just a load and go tune? I have 87 octane tuning, 91 and E85 as well for those who get the conversion kit.

My current adapter machinist is a very good friend who doesn't have the tooling required to do an Oring groove, like I'm sure others would if I outsourced this to a large shop (in China lol). However, I'm looking into having a gasket made instead.

How many tunes can the hand-held hold at once? I could see a need to have 87 and 91 available and switch as needed. Would a tune at 92 octane show any difference compared to 91?

I dont think the difference between 91 and 92 octane would be noticable. If I were to have multiple tunes on hand it'd have to be 93 and e85. Thats just my personal feelings on it of course

When my Camaro comes out of hibernation, I'd like to try a different tune. I'm sure my IPF tune is decent, but I'm doing more mods that I *assume* would benefit from more fine tuning.
I'd like to try this larger TB... op hasn't messaged me yet.
