Put mine in today. It was a bitch because the shifter wouldn't go into the factory housing, and it kept getting stuck/hung up on the first black o-ring no matter how hard I pushed. Called the guys up and they said go get some longer bolts to help pull the unit into the housing. I did this and after a bit, and two seperate lengths of bolts, got it in and seated properly.

To get the boot back on, lower the tranny as far as possible and start at the front of the boot and work towards the rear to get it on. Once I did this, it went right on.

The unit is nice. Quality parts. And it works great. I have no noise as of yet. And hope none show up. I did use the new Royal Purple synthec lube for install. Seems to work very well, and can be re-lubed from inside the car, and not underneath.

P.S. The bolts I had to buy to intall it were 6mm X 1.0 in 40mm and 25mm lengths.

the key is to get that boot back on. its a pain but its a must.

The rubber boot has pull tabs on the corners. Simply push up with one hand and pull the tabs with the other and it goes right on.
