Personally don't think that's you getting keyed I think it's someone being careless with their keys hanging out of their pocket that walked by your car, as for the shifter did any one put it in a wrong box and got thrown away by accident ?

i had my car parked by its self with no other cars around it...........looked through the trash and nothing

I was thinking, you pulled out the dash, maybe you or whomever helped you scratched it with a clip hanging off the pieces you removed?? Usually a Keying looks more deliberate and very deep.

Damn that is horrible and it's definitely keyed... That's crazy to think it was done there... people get jelious cause you young and have alot already.. That's mess up sorry to read this and the sad but true part is that the shifter was more than like took by someone that has a 5 gen.
