Firmware update to add Mylink Messages icon

Is a firmware update to add the Messages icon that became available on the 2014 Mylink to a 2013 ?

No it's not there. Either way though, there is a newer firmware that you could update to.

It's my understanding that a dealer will do the update only if you have problem, well besides wanting the Messages feature I do have a problem ...Mylink intermittently drops & freezes my Ipod causing me to have to reboot my Ipod to get it playing again. Would you know what version contains the update for the Messages icon?
If you do then when I take it to the dealer I can request that version and not just the version that fixes my problem.
