Stock clutch

Engine was pulled out of my car yesterday. I had 10000 miles and lots of passes down the 1/4 mile. I was fully expecting to upgrade the clutch with the engine already being out. The mechanic sent me some pics and says the clutch has hardly any wear on it!!!

Nothing. It was running great. Forged Callie's stoker crank, forged I beam rods, diamond forged pistons and Heartbeat blower!!!

nice...the stock clutch is much better than expected. Honestly, it looks brand new and no heat marks on the pressure plate or flywheel. With 800+ RWHP it may not work as well as it does now.

Out of curiosity did they measure the disc thickness?

Not that I know of. They just pulled the engine yesterday and sent the pictures this morning Steve. I can get them to measure them if you are curious. Here is a close up picture of one of the discs.

CLUTCH LOOKS GOOD...NOT A LOT OF WEAR. WILL IT STAND UP TO ANY FURTHER MODS OR ARE YOU GONNA REPLACE THE WHOLE UNIT?

I think that clutch deserves to live another day. Stick it back in.

Wow. I just rolled 10k and hope mine looks just as good. Can't wait to see your car go back together with the new stroker and HB.

I really wasn't expecting it to look that good rock!! I'm not sure what to do, I was planning to put an aftermarket in it. Now I don't know if I should put a stocker back in it. Lol. Anyone with any doubts about how hard I run it can ask Islander or Trackman. I've got more confidence in the powertrain than ever!!!
