wont crank

i just got a 2011 camaro LS in a trade . It does not run, the starter does not attempt to crank and whenever I open the trunk ,door, or put the key in the ignition there is a clicking noise that I traced back to the large connection on the driver side of the mass flow sensor. sitting in the seat I held down the clutch and brake and turned the key the starter did not spin, nothing happened
i made sure the battery is fully charged and the cables are clean and firmly secured to the battery, the dash board lights up everything seems normal. the check engine light flashes while I turn the key but nothing happens. I checked some fuses under the hood, they all looked good. what is causing this none crank issue ? i have to get it to crank

There might be a shunt in the trunk.

Are you sure? He did say there was some clicking on the driver side around the MAF area. Maybe a squirrel, or a rat chewed some wires??

Yep this is classic shunt behavior. I bet shunt is up under the package tray area, another common place is behind the headlights.

I said maf but I could be wrong, maybe throttle body it's on the front of the motor.the engine is a 3.6 .the clicking is coming from the plastic housing on the driver side of the unit.

Shunts can be short. Maybe someone else can chime in. I'm not really that good on the electrical stuff but these cars can do weird things. Any stabilitrac lights?
