I think it's a bit of a marketing ploy similar to Speilberg's 20th version of Star Wars. 1st you'll get this ZL1, then another mockup then maybe if sales are lagging they'll pump you up for the Z28 and have 5 or 6 solid years of Camaro sales under their Gluttonous belts. I'm not complaining as it gives me more time to save up for the "Real Deal" but a new hood and a SC won't get me to tip over that money mattress just yet.

i guess im the only one that thinks chevy drop the ball bit here. i like it but i dont love it. they realy dropped the ball on some of the items. i love the wing, actually working on adding a light to mine like they did here, but im just not crazy about other parts like the rims. there could have done so much better on the rims, i feel like the hood could have been better, anybody remember the jay leno hood, i think that would look great here or why not use the same kind of hood they did on the zr1. i dont know im not to happy that they didnt use z28 either. i hope my feelings change when i see it in another color or in person. i really do

Exactly, I don't hear people complaining about Lamborgini interiors with alcantara everywhere. Besides the added function, I think it looks great and breaks up all the hard plastics that everyone always complains about.

My only nitpick is the lack of real aluminum trim like the Mustang. The faux aluminum painted silver trim has always been a pet peeve of mine and I was hoping they'd upgrade that finish to something better. Besides that, I think they did a great job upgrading the interior without totally redesigning it.

They only thing you couldn't change would be the mufflers. From there up to the block is fair game!

This car has to smoke in order to be a hit, and be a bargain to boot. To heck with the trimmings.....
We'll see...

That's good to hear!

My next question is.
Who has hi resolution pictures. All the ones out there kinda suck. I can't even use them as a computer background. I especially want one of the exploded LSA.

It seems GM was trying to emphasize how much of the work was where you didnt see it on this car...the drivetrain and suspension. This version is made to melt pavement or stick like hot gum...its choice. All the moaning on the minor points...steering wheel..suede parts, are missing the point of the ZL1. Also, the GT500 starts at 48,600 fwiw. I see GM fitting into that price structure very closely.

In response to those that are complaining about aspects of this car...............Can anyone here who went to the reveal of the original 5th Gen Camaro comment on this. Did the saleable version of the 2010 look exactly like the one revealed at whatever auto show it was revealed at? Both exterior and interior? Whereas GM cannot put out a product that "everyone" will like "everything" about, I'm a little curious about the final product. They did kind of mention that this car is really not complete yet. I have a feeling that there will be some differences both in final production and even options for this car. I don't know, Lets wait and see what the final product has to offer!!!!
