Right Turn Only, or ummmm...
Okay....who's the wise guy? Actual sign posted. I am sure they meant "turn" instead of "right".

LOL, seems more like the left part is out of place though. Why would the right lane have to turn left?

Not only is that VERY painful to read, but it scares me to think somebody actually still installed it on the road! Wow...talk about apathy for your job.

I caught this beauty a couple of years ago, hours after it had been installed... I surmised that the foreman of our local CalTrans (California's highway maintenence agency) had said to one of his fellas, "Hey, go put up one of them ol' red and white 'vehicles blocking snowplows' signs." We DO have red and white signs all over that read, "Vehicles blocking snowplows will be towed away."
I snapped the pic, posted it on an local forum, and within a few hours, local media saw it, got the story (my guess, in fact was entirely correct, as to how the sing had come about!), and the sign was removed by that evening. Our tax dollars at work... to this day, I still cannot believe that the sign was commissioned, created, painted, transported, and installed... without any of the minions even questioning whether or not it made a lick of sense! |
