found it

Drip Tray from GM
I just installed the ZL1 drip tray, which I think everyone with the ACS insert should have. Figured I would poste some pics and the part number as it was a pain in the ass to find . On the positive side, the install on my 2012 SS was super easy.

P/N: 22828415 - Baffle (I have no clue why GM decided to call it a baffle

Is the tray that comes with the ACS TL1 not any good. Or is the ZL1 have a better drain to it. Do you have to modify the ZL1 to fit the ACS.

You are thinking about two different trays.

The drip tray aka "baffle" catches the water from the insert and water runs off the right and left side to the ground.

The water tray is attached to the insert and the water flows off that to the baffle.

1st photo is the "baffle" on a ZL1
2nd photo is the "baffle" installed on my 2LT RS
3rd photo ACS TL1 insert w/ the ACS ZL1 insert water deflector/water tray installed on my TL1 insert.
4th photo GM OEM ZL1 water tray off my OEM ZL1 hood and insert.
