Maybe I've gotten too used to my Porsche. I know a 6 speed manual won't come close to shifting like a dual clutch paddle shift automatic. But I would think the additional 170 hp would more than offset the extra 1000 lbs weight. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case.
The OEM summer tires on a ZL1 are Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar G2s. The closest competitor to this tire is the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2. If you aren't breaking them loose during a test drive where the ambient temperature is below 50 degrees Fahrenheit, then the engine isn't running and someone is behind the car pushing it, or the engine is running but the transmission is in neutral and the car is rolling down a hill.

In all seriousness, if the temps are cold, the tires are G2s, and a ZL1 doesn't have enough power to break the tires loose, something is wrong with the car. A lawnmower motor makes enough power to spin the rear 305s on a ZL1 if those rear 305s are G2s and it's cold outside. It's an entirely different story once the tires get up to temperature, but while cold, other cars in the vicinity should be watching the latest performance of the award winning, "Camaros On Ice".

My thoughts on some things:
  • Driving Nannies: If I'm that far out of shape on the street, something has gone terribly wrong and by all means Mr. Computer man, come and get me.
  • G2s: Rock throwing is like like a tramp stamp; although problematic, it's a sign of good things to come.

Damn, missed again. The ZL1 I was interested in is sold. I didn't get a chance to drive it again... it's been too cold to give it a decent road test.

Truth!!

Especially with this new prius driving save the earth generation.

They wouldn't know what to do with the third pedal.

Iam new to Camero 5 so any suggestions on fourms will be appreciated. I have a 2012 camero lsx 376 with a procharger f1a peaks at 767 rwhp 692 torque it has a 6 speed manual duel dick clutch. I do a lot of drag racing. I have been looking at TCI 6 speed transmissions an told it will drop at lest 1 second of my times. This was proven by another guy i race with. My question is what kind of problems are there in doing this switch ie eliminating clutch pedal and adding brake pedal
