Convertible info?

Is there any date for the release of the convertible or its price?

All I can say is wait for it to hit the dealers. Then order one if you don't find what you like.

Orders can be put in the system for verts by dealers now, not sure of the actual production start date tho.

Yes, you can order one now, and I'd bet production will start somewhere around Feb/March, but be prepared for a long QC hold for the first batch of convertibles. It's entirely normal and expected.
I'll predict that the convertibles will hit the showrooms around May.

48,3 for a 2SS vert is actually not bad at all.

And that QC better be damn good. After 4 fabric pieces, 1 frame, 1 5th bow and a dealership that tore out the rear central water bag support bolt/washer and didn't replace it (resulting in massive rear floor water leaks), I'm tired of convertible issues.

I'm still keeping faith though & will try to lease one once they come out. This way if there's issues over the first couple of years, the dealership has to take it back if they can't get it right. And that's what the majority of the problem was - that none of the dealers knew how to diagnose and fix the problems CORRECTLY.

That's true for the Gen5 SS's especially with the early years of the convertible (I had a 2011), but they got their act together somewhere down the road, and I've had my 2013 ZL1 convertible for over 3 years with NO top issues whatsoever.

Let's keep our fingers crossed.

48.3, does that come with any options? Last time i shopped convertibles some of the price hike was due to included options.

I put my order in with my dealership yesterday... price is estimated at 53K for a 2SS hyper blue with black interior, low gloss black spokes, Ground Effect and MRC... he said I should find out tomorrow if my order will be hitting the board for pick up!! I'm excited!!

Local salesman told me he thinks his place is giving $4,000 discount for military members. I asked him if the discount applied to leasing also, he said "I think so".

Anyone had any experience with leasing & discounts? And he also said that they will only sell at MSRP. Time will tell on that one....
