Output shaft failure?

Just got my 2010 m6 SS earlier this summer it only has 19k miles on it. Today as I was driving I started to notice that my car was sputtering in first as I would take off and I could feel something knocking in the shifter as if every rotation it would do it. I just read that their was an output shaft problem in earlier models of 2010's. Really stumped on this one

If your output shaft fails I don't think you will be going anywhere. You may look to your clutch for the symptom.

If output shaft failed it breaks and the car does not move at all. You have a different problem.

Mine has 43,000 miles and no issues. Sounds like you could have a branch or somthing wrapped around the drive shaft.

What's the last 5 digits of your vin #? The output shaft issue was fixed around #26,000. But, I agree, doesn't really sound like it's the problem here.
