Those look great, R!

Now that I have a new transmission, I may need custom manifolds too.

Thanks D.

It was a chore on the drivers side due to the steering shaft clearance, but I'm sure they will be worth all the effort...

I leave Tuesday for work, so I most likely won't be back at the shop before then, but maybe Corey will text me some pics of the progress... I made a good start on mounting the parachute frame, and te trunk is cut out so progress should go pretty fast at this point... Just lots of stuff left to do before the mile...

I did some of it, and Corey and Justin will be finishing it up... I started on the frame work for it, did the little cutouts in the trunk over the frame rails as well...

I cut out the hole where the mount tube will go through the rear bulkhead as well... Since I wanted a red chute, it wont be here for another almost two weeks. It's damn big as well... It's a cross form chute and it's a 14 footer... rated for a 4000 lb car and 250 mph...

Please do not...

I need some info before too long... Alignment specs and whatnot... or do I need to load it on the trailer and bring it to you... corner weighting, ride height etc....

As soon as you have the car done, with all the pieces in place s you are going to run in the mile, please haul it over. We'll scale it, align it and set the shocks so all you have to do is keep the shiny side up.

I think we could roll the car out the back of a C-130 and it would be ok... but I'm not going to try it...

Will do... It might be tuesday or so before the mile... I'll be loading it out and heading to Beeville on Thursday... And keeping the shinier side up is a big part of the plan

The bottom side is not too shiny, though there are a few parts that are pretty nice looking...

So Mike, 2010ABM came over today and we got the first two of the hood vents on my mile car.

We are going to mount the other two but they are in my trailer box, which is at my builders ranch right now. So, I'll do those when I get back from work in a little over three weeks.

We had a good laugh, I told him the brushes on my dremel were going out and sure enough about half way through trimming some of the inner frame, is arced and started smoking real bad... I unplugged it and put it aside. Fortunately, I was close enough to being finished that it didn't matter... I'll pick up a new dremel tool.

This hood is for the mile only as of right now, I may or may not paint it Red Jewel Tint... This one is CGM...

Just got home a few mins ago...was great hangin' out with you (and Deb) today.

The dremel blowing up was pretty funny...not nearly as funny as what you said mid-cut on the first vent though..."He did 24 of these at the Fest?!"

Always great hangin' with y'all, enjoyed dinner, and the patio is awesome!!

Don't work too hard on the rig!
