Retrieving detached spoiler nut ?
Has anyone figured out how to retrieve a nut that has fallen in the deck lid from the spoiler? I know a service bulletin is now out on the subject, but the fix is tighten the nuts and apply Loctite. That doesn't however explain how to get the nut out.

If you know where the bolt is, try using a magnet.

Magnet
I tried that but you need a really strong magnet. The problem is you don't really know where the nut is. Another possibility is to fish it out with a wire, like a hanger. But again, without knowing where the nut is, you could be all day with this and still not find it. I suppose you put a magnet on the end of the wire. Finding a magnet to do this might be tough. I am going to check with an auto parts store and see if they have any ideas.

I fished 4 of mine out in 5 minutes using an extendable/telescoping magnet. The outer ones seem to hang up in the curves.

glue or somehow attach a magnet on the end of a flexible wire, preferrably a flexible plastic stick, and tie the magnet to a string just in case it comes off the wire then you can still drag it out.
