I wish I could bring myself to drive it everyday, but I cant. I drive about 60 miles round trip Monday thru Friday and I dont want to rake up the miles on the SS. Also traveling up and down I-10 is a bit sketchy with all the debris on the road and rocks flying around. Plus there are a ton of "big" trucks on the road and they really kick up the rocks which have done some minor damage to my other two vehicles. I guess the other main reason it is not a DD is that I park in a parking garage at work and I DONT LIKE DOOR DINGS!!! Most folks dont give a crap about others property....I would love to drive my SS daily. Everytime I see one cruising down the road it makes me wish I was driving mine.....

why buy a car and not drive it? Would be a daily driver for me. The Snow thing I get. But just driving it on weekends to keep the mileage down is a little odd. Its not like this is a limited production run or anything, their making tons of these things.lol. if your thinking about keeping it in the garage all the time and getting some good money for it years down the road good luck......I don't think your gonna make a profit though........their is just to many of these things going to be built.
You only live life once. Drive the car you love.

I generally just park out of the way to try to stay isolated and avoid possible damage, but sometimes it's unavoidable. For the most part I'm usually able to find a dead section of the parking lot though.

I live in Nebraska--mine will be DD for me too. I have waited TOO long for this car, and get TOO MUCH pleasure driving it to keep it parked all winter. Made sure it was undercoated & will keep it washed & waxed as much as possible to protect from salt damage. I will also see the body shop if/when necessary. I did not buy this car as a trophy only to be seen & driven under ideal conditions. Nor did I buy this car intending to protect its resale value (huh??)

Call me crazy, but I bought this car to DRIVE it---and that's exactly what I plan to do.

Cars are made to be driven - in all types of weather. Why buy a car if you're afraid to use it?? Drive them every day and enjoy.

Daily for me as well. This summer's been a blast using the car and enjoying the gawkers though that's waning now that there are more on the road.

For the Winter I intend to get Bridgestone Blizzak LM-60s and new 20" rims(my dealer said he'd store the RS tires/rims for free), use the car when its dry whenever possible and watch the forecast. I have the benefit of working Virtual Office for the stormy days or use my wife's whip to save the Camaro from the salt/sand. If I do get caught out the Blizzaks will keep me going and I'll wash the car as soon as I can.

This car is meant to be enjoyed - I wouldn't want to be sloached over at a nursing home years from now regretting I didn't drive the Camaro more than I did...

It's my sunny day car. I've only driven it in the rain while coming home with it. I use my Benz wagon for DD.

daily driver

Mine will be a daily driver with some highway miles for work purposes. I have a 2SS 6spd on order expected (per dealer) around 9/29-10/7. Where/how do I get all the tracking info you folks have?
