Yup .. moreover, Human beings are like that: take a large group of person who have same religion, same color, same amount of money, same rights and so on ... they will ALWAYS find a good reason to fight.

Back on topic: I find this quotes more funny than wise, but these are good ones!!!

Professor Francisco, a well-published political scientist at KU, said in one of my classes that the best way to create an atheist state is to institute a state religion. That way, no one will want to follow it.
do you agree that is the morality that religon promotes that is the basis for all out most fundemental laws? All of the major religons have the same basic rules....

All the constitution says is the Government will not make a national religion, it says nothing about not using any religous beliefs in Goverment to actually run the government by...By the way, that means any religion, not just christianity. The people in power use their religous beliefs and always will to decide how to govern.. even if they do not say it, subconsiously they use them.
I would rather a President Quote Scripture (from whatever bible he uses)when he explains a decision he has made than one that just says that is what he thinks.

I disagree. Politics, disguised as religion, is one of the most common reasons for war.

Actually, the worst ideologies of the 20th century were anti religious: communism and nazism.

If you think deeply about each one of these he was trying to make a point but sometimes he was just trying to be funny....

Communism and National Socialism weren't anti-religious in and of themselves. Communism doesn't oppose religion, it was the personal views of the founders of the Soviet Union that did. As for the Nazi party, Hitler himself was a Christian and read the Bible regularly (although apparently reading comprehension wasn't his strong suite). Hitler blamed the Jews for the instability of Germany after the Treaty of Versailles destroyed Germany's economy, and pursued genocide as revenge. It wasn't because of religion, but because of racism and scapegoating.
