One click makes the light flash in my car. All depends how you have it set up.

Gives you the option of a quiet lock, such as pulling in late at night... or a horn beep if you are at a distance and need to know for sure it locked. If you are far away, it's nice to know for sure you were in range. Nice to have both ways without have to mess with changing the personalization settings.

The first push locks them both and sets the alarm.

it's for those that continually press it twice (like me) to wear out the door lock actuator faster...

1 press locks the doors and arms the alarm. 2 presses verifies that the alarm is on by honking the horn. GM horns HONK, foreign horns beep. Harley horns HONK, Japanese horns tweet.

Honk is my reminder

I park my GMC Envoy on the street in front of the house. Sometimes I'll get to the front door and because it's become so automatic don't know if I hit the lock button. By hitting it onenmore time and hearit honk I know that all is good without walking back down to the car.
More importantly, anytime the wife and I go somewhere in the Camaro, she always says, "Did you lock the car?" So I click twice so I hear the horn not her.
35 years ago we had a bicycle stolen out of our garage. Since that day about five times a day she says "Did you closse the garage door?, or Do you want me to close the garage door?. Both are annoying.

if im not mistaken i think with one click it gives you like 30 secs before your alarm is activated, and with two clicks it sets then and there
