Flowmaster Hushpower Axlebacks
Like new Flowmaster Hushpower Axlebacks. These were on my car for about 10k miles, and they sounded great - deep rumble, but not very loud. According to Flowmaster, these offer nearly the same increase in power as an open-pipe system while keeping a much lower sound level.
I took them off for something louder, and they are in fantastic condition (see pics). Black body and chrome tips. The exhaust shop cut them off of my car, but they are an easy install for any exhaust shop (If you're in OK, I recommend Performance Muffler in Norman, Doug is a good guy). $400 OBO. Would prefer to sell locally. |

So what did you go with that was louder. These cars have a horrible stock stock set up, No reason Chevy couldn't have made these sound like they should. I can see making the V6 quite but the SS should sound like it has a pair from the factory...

My car had these on it when I bought it. I recently added high flow cats and then I had a shop replace the mufflers with 3" pipe and 5" tips (aka muffler delete). It sounds just right now, but I've got to get the AFM turned off. Doesn't sound very nice in 4 cylinder mode.
