Exhaust help !!!
Good morning all !!! Have a quick question for the experts out here. I have a 2010 L99.
My current setup is speed engineering headers with the connection pipes going to flowmaster American thunder CATBACK exhaust . Sounds great but am looking for a but louder more aggressive setup . Hence I have the BORLA ATAK CATBACK EXHAUST. I was wondering what is the best way to connect the borla atak exhaust to the speed engineering connection pipes that come off the headers . I know there is a difference in the pipe diameter . Borla 2.5 inches v/s flowmaster 3 inches . At some point in a different thread someone had mentioned using the 3 " walker band clamps which worked out amazing for the current flowmaster setup . Just need some info on what size would be ideal for the borla setup . I can't remember the piping diameter on the SE CONNECTION PIPES THAT would.connect to the borla exhaust . Any suggestions would be welcome . Thanks

if your connection pipes are 2.5" outlet it should bolt-on just fine. i think most catback systems that are 3" will reduce the pipe size to connect with your connection pipes or the stock mid-pipes (2.5")

Take it to an exhaust shop, or call SE and see if that have a different extension pipe with 3" to 2.5" neck down.

The connection is necked down to 2.5" like mentioned above. The Borla catback should directly replace the Flowmaster system. |

Unless you got custom pipes from Speed Engineering, your connection pipes are 2.5". The Borla exhaust should bolt right up to it.

I have Texas speed long tubes and the Borla ATAK catback. I just used the factory slip fit that went from the cat to the mid pipe and it worked fine
