Should I have a upper induction cleaning before installing a catch can?

My car is currently 4100 miles... my catch can will arrived tomorrow and I am planning to install it these days... Should I have a upper induction cleaning before installing it? Or 4100 is just too little miles so its not necessary?

Thanks guys!

I'll go with that few of miles, I would just install the catch can and not do the upper induction cleaning.

Takes 15 mins for the cleaning. Might as well, but like Ragnar said, you probably dont need to.

It wouldn't hurt but it is not critically important with so few miles. Unless they were all 1/4 miles passes!

I take off the manifold cover and clean out the manifold every time I change my oil. The Catch Can is wonderful, but some oil vapor gets through. I use Carb Cleaner and a rag, this keeps it nice and shiny inside. It's also cheaper that Sea Foam. Good Luck and Have Fun with your car! Happy Thanksgiving!

with the engine off, take off the air tube. open the throttle body, reach your finger into the reservoir behind the blade. If it's full of oil put a paper towel in it to absorb all the oil, then get the cleaning done. If not, you don't need the cleaning.
