Wow... now that was one hell of a read! Very nice post. That definately made my day!!

BTW, the picture at the end of the article it the coolest picture I have ever seen IMO. It shows just how close the production, is to the concept. At first i literally could not tell them apart at first. Here it is agian for those who love looking at it (me).

Where I work I have to park between a pole and a pickup and I have to back into the spot because of company orders....

I don't really care that much because over the years I've gotten quite good at it, but my concern is that if the rear visibility is not good then the car will get lambasted in the press for this.

A lot of people here some to be under the illusion that if GM makes a quality car that everyone everywhere is going to automatically realize that the car is good and GM has turned a corner and is on the upswing and making great stuff. I'm only here to say that if the car has even small flaws that there are people out there who will AMPLIFY them into defects of proportions that make my occasional complaints seem like high praise.

There's a lot of people who want to see GM fail and that's why this car has to have as few perceived flaws as possible.

So, if the visibility is bad, there could be a lot of press about it.

Considering the blurbs in the document about the information being confidential, I doubt that's going to happen.

Wow. No spare. "Inflator kit" instead. I guess GM saved what weight they could.

What is a body-color roof ditch molding?

(available with LT and SS)- HID headlamps, spoiler on LT model, 20-inch 5-spoke wheel with Midnight Silver paint finish, RS unique taillamp, body-color roof ditch molding and RS badging (front and rear)

There's a channel in the roof above the doors that drains water away. it runs from the front to back of the roof on each side. They call this a "ditch". It's black on the base models and body colored on the RS.

It means that those strips will be black regardless of body color on non RS models, the RS models the strips will be the same color as the body. We already saw pictures of the engine oil cooler but it apparently will also have a tranny cooler standard on the SS, nice.

I wonder what the 18" steel wheels will look like...is this the rebirth of the GM Rally? Imagine a first year with '67 Center caps and redlines - killer! I wonder what they will look like - would be cool to put on the SS and make a sleeper. Some old Dog Dish caps and make a COPO!
