we are murders

Attacking capitalists where they live, Singer, who gives 20 percent of his salary to relief organizations, has written that a person who buys a luxury car, rather than giving the cost of the car to an organization dedicated to saving the very poor from starvation, is committing murder.

this is from peter singer a bioethics professor at Princeton univ.

I am taxed to the core, with none of the tax benefits that most taxpayers enjoy! Uncle Sam reaches extra deep in my Sigmoid colon! So, I guess that not only exonerates me as being a "murderer", but also makes me an effin savior!

50% of US citizens receive some type of government assistance, and I pay more than my share for those who are "starving" and eating well alike! ... I guess I don't know what it's like to make Princeton University Professor money either.

I pay 20% every time I get my check
and I like to spread it out to a few places.
I give the most to federal organization
and some to a state organization
and then some extra to a county organization
and I spread the rest out to help social security, and some various others.
and at no point in time did I sign up to do this, they just take it out of my check.
I bet others donate to these organizations and dont know that they do. look at you check next time and do the math, I bet you give almost 20% or more to these "organizations".

Not to mention the multiple times we get taxed for the same things! When you bought the car, you were taxed! When you park the car, you are taxed again! When you fuel the car you're taxed on that, and it goes on and on! Sorry, I got a little

We all work hard to have a good life.... the more you give the more you get imo so I donate time and money to organizations or charities that I believe will use my resources the best. We all already give a lot to people that are just takers and I do not want to give any more to them. 20% is highly steep in this economy.

Maybe someone down on their luck sees one of our cars and it inspires them to work hard to get one just like all of us have.

That's a true story. Your paycheck gets taxed before you bought the car. The car got taxed when you bought it. The state charges you additional money to be able to drive it every year. Some states (like Virginia) charge you property tax on top of that!

So... we pay the state at LEAST 3 times, and federal at least once, just to buy the vehicle.

How is it my problem that I decided to NOT be an effin under-achiever and obtain trade skills that I can market to places other than McDonalds? I honestly dont mind the 35-ish% I pay in taxes, right up until I see others pay none. And worse, people free-load off of state/federal gov't funds for YEARS. Maybe the gov't should let me decide what my tax dollars get used for...
