That was a blast Ross! Great to have the whole pit section. Mostly due to Les Grenfell and Pepper. Great 2 days

moving in a couple weeks and making the trip from Little Rock To Colorado Springs, tuned for 93 octane down here, I'm thinking that I won't find many gas stations on the way that sell 93 octane and I'm not going to go out of my way searching for it, should I be worried? Can I make the trip with my current tune, run 91 if that's what I can find, then just do a fuse pull when I get there? or should I was my tuner edit my tune ahead of time?

The claim is that due to the altitude and lack of oxygen cylinder pressure is reduced and we do not need the 93 octane fuel so about the best you can find is 91.

thats what i figured, should i do anything ahead of time with the tune? or just leave as is and put in 91 if that's what i can find? will it cause huge issues?

Shouldn't matter unless you're tuned right on the edge, but even then knock sensors should pick up anything and adjust your long term fuel trims. A tune at the new altitude eventually would be worth it though IMO,

We're all on Facebook in our local Camaro Club of the Rockies group. Better venue, easier to post pics and smack talk.

Yes this thread and my Camaro are getting about the same amount of movement lately. With recent events I am thinking about selling my car but have not quite convinced myself to do it yet.

No 93 fuel in the Rockies....I think that stops somewhere east of Iowa. Only 91 due to altitude. Plenty of E-85 though
