Mine doesn't pop out hard at all. And I only have 687 miles on my car.

Normally takes around 500-600 miles before I noticed mine getting better. It could be that It just took a little while to learn the characteristics of the car. Probably what you are noticing is the small grab point of the final engagement. This clutch is not very forgiving so you will need to be patient until you have gotten use to it.

Ya becuase the car wants to stall on me alot, even tho i havent stalled it yet, the clutch seems like when i try to let it out a bit to get it into gear, that it wants to push my foot out instantly

the clutch on this car is grabby. its not a smooth transition. once it engages, its on. just give it some more gas and go play with it some more, you'll get the feel for it.

I found blipping the throttle a little before letting the clutch out in first helps. You know, get the motor spun up and use it's centrifugal force instead of trying to master throttle and clutch out of the hole so to speak. Makes you sound intimidating also, it does take a while to master this clutch, I also thought it was grabby but after 700 miles you would never know I only have that little time in the seat. Don't sweat it, it just comes with learning the car. And what better car to learn?

The clutch on this car is bizarre...at least mine is...
I wouldn't call it hard...I would just say that it's very quick and in a strange place. I would prefer it a bit closer to the floor. The guys that worked on my car also commented on the clutch, unsolicited, and said that each of them had stalled it a few times...which was very odd. You get used to it pretty quick. Now when I drive my wifes car I think her clutch is the weird one...

Hmm...good to hear.
I have 2300 miles on mine. The clutch is very grabby, but i've gotten used to it on take-off. However, I have not yet mastered near-redline speed shifting without lunging/jumping. I thought it was me, but I hop in my dad's vette and its 'away we go'. Glad to hear others having issues.

This is a post I started a few weeks back. I now have 1450 miles on my car. The car didn't start taking off smoothly until around 500 to 600 miles as ssarrival stated. You almost have to ride to clutch to get a smooth launch. It just takes time getting use to the clutch. I use to be conscience of the position of the clutch during launch, now I'm more conscience of drivers not paying attention. |

Ha! I'm glad I'm not the only one...I thought it was me!
In order to get rid of that surge you have to keep the revs up and shift HARD...at least that's the way I can smooth out the shifts. Funny thing...I have no idea what it feels like to shift under hard acceleration from 3 to 4, 4 to 5, or 5 to 6....

I also didn't like the feel of the clutch pedal when stock. I removed a "return" spring under the dash for the clutch pedal and I like the clutch feel much better now. The spring is easy to remove or install so u guys might want to give it a shot and see if you like it!
