hmm, seems I can't quote a Greg Norris post. It just disappears, hence my first and last lines in the above post

i wonder if Tran can quote him... we need him to stop by...
this could be disastrous if Greg Norris has powers beyond the creator!

the posts of greg norris were removed using a soft delete command, as such, they are still there for anyone with access to delete, edit, and restore posts of other members to see.
dg can see them because he is a mod, and it's likely that he, or another mod used soft delete, thus it's lack of quotability.

Yes I can see them because I'm a mod, but nobody is chasing him around the forum deleting his posts, soft or otherwise.

perhaps he deletes his own then and you have regular users restricted from full deletion of their own posts?

i just posted something saying "test post" right after your post. i'm gonna delete it right now. you & i won't see it. the mods will see that it was there and then deleted. they'll also see that i've edited this post a few times, too

KRPT, you're half right but from now on, I refuse to comment on the accuracy of the theories on why only 3 members who have posted here have seen a Greg Norris post.

Its more entertaining for me this way.

well the only other possibility I can think of in relation to vbb is that you have restricted his posting altogether to the point that only a mod can see it.

either way it doesn't really matter, it's easy enough to confirm that his account and/or posts are somehow being modifiend so that they A: have to be approved by a mod before it can be seen by other members or B: his account is on probation so his posts are automatically hidden from normal users or... C: he's deleting his own posts via the delete option and he's only given access to soft delete.

come on man... don't be a fun sucker with all the technical talk. that's what we've been trying to say without being direct.
